ORTHO-BIONOMY FOR BREAST CANCER CARE
Have you considered using a complementary therapy to support your breast cancer journey?
Complementary therapies are generally used to enhance the quality of life as a way of nurturing the mind, body and spirit. They can improve your physical and emotional wellbeing by helping you to manage some of the side effects of breast cancer treatments, such as anxiety, pain and fatigue.
Complementary therapies are known to be used alongside the standard treatments that doctors use to treat cancer (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapies). Complementary therapies are known to help with stress, reduce the side effects of treatment and enhance a sense of wellbeing.
Ortho-Bionomy is a complementary therapy, that can be used alongside and after breast cancer treatment. It is a gentle and effective bodywork therapy that does not use painful manipulations or forceful pressures. It is also a collaborative therapy with physiotherapy, massage, chiropractic and somatic therapy.
Breast Cancer Care

What are Ortho-Bionomy Breast Cancer Care Sessions like?
Ortho-Bionomy sessions typically take an hour. You will remain fully clothed and be asked to sit or lie on a massage table. It is best to wear comfortable and loose-fitting clothes. Your Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner will ask specific questions and use gentle touch to assess your health concerns.
They will then move you into comfortable postures to stimulate self-corrective reflexes, that have been shown to break the cycle of pain and re-educate your body to return to a more functional muscular and structural position. Self-care techniques are often provided for you to use at home, to relieve pain and support a greater range of movement.
Ortho-Bionomy works to reduce pain naturally and return balance in your life. This may generally mean being able to live and work more productively. Overall, improving your health and wellbeing.
After Ortho-Bionomy sessions clients report experiencing deep relaxation, pain relief, increased range and ease of movement, improved postural balance, improved circulation, increased sense of vitality and feeling of lightness and ease throughout the body.
